After a successful first edition in 2017, Gymnastics Australia is once again excited to host the World Cup Gymnastics Melbourne in 2018. As a part of the FIG’s new World Cup format for the 2017-2020 Olympic Cycle, Australia won the right to host a stop on the Individual Apparatus World Cup circuit, staging the first event in Melbourne in February 2017. Melbourne will continue to host this event for the next three years for both Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.
The competition features athletes from sixteen countries all over the world competing across two days of Qualifications on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 February, with the top eight athletes on each apparatus advancing to the Finals, to be held on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 February.
There are 4 Japanese gymnasts competing for the event.
