The annual Japan Festival in Box Hill will be held on Sunday 21 May at Box Hill Town Hall and Box Hill TAFE. The Japan Festival is organised by the Japan Club of Victoria and is supported by the AJSV. Along with the Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival, the Japan Festival in Box Hill is one of the biggest annual celebrations of Japanese culture in Australia.
Since its inaugural event in 2000, the Japan Festival has continually drawn big crowds to its collection of over 100 stalls selling various Japanese foods, crafts and products. The main stage features a full program of performances, demonstrations and speeches as well as the popular raffle with a long list of great prizes available!
A number of competitions will also be judged as part of the event including a competitive field of cosplayers.
