Photo Display Series - 'Day-to-Day Life in Matsudo' - March 2016

Whitehorse-Matsudo Sister City Friendship Group is going to hold the photo display, which is the third in a series leading up to their 45th Anniversary in May, is about to launch at Homer HQ Nunawading (372 Whitehorse Rd, Nunawading-almost opposite their Civic Centre). We are invited to see aerial views of Matsudo city with Tokyo and Mt Fuji backdrops, discover popular sports, transport options and tasty local dishes or gaze at gorgeous cherry blossoms in full bloom and ancient temples surrounded by breathtaking gardens. With take home origami sheets available for the kids, there is something for everyone at this display.

Global Fiesta (Box Hill Gardents) - Sunday 20 March 2016

The Friendship Group will again be holding a stall at the Global Fiesta presented by Whitehorse City Council, this year sharing with Council's Box Hill Community Arts Centre. Fun activities will be provided: find out how to fold a kimono from Papermakers of Victoria volunteers, traditional Japanese games and colouring-in-pages for the youngsters. And not to be missed a funny photo opportunity with a Sumo wrestler life-sized cut-out.
