The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is pleased to announce that the grant round for Japan has officially opened. It will close on 4th April 2016.
Australia-Japan Foundation (AJF) grants are designed to provide seed funding to Australia and Japanese organisations and individuals for projects and programs that will deliver medium to longer term outcomes for the Australia-Japan partnership.
The AJF's priority areas are: Communications, Information and Advocacy; Economics and Trade; Education and Science; Reconstruction (assisting communities of the Tohoku region to recover from the devastation of the 2011 earthquake/tsunami); Security and Regional/International Relations; and Society and Culture.
As 2016 is the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of the AJF, the AJF will seek successful proposals for badging as 40th Anniversary projects in 2016. The Australia-Japan Publication Award is also open.
