kONSHINKAI

Informal networking events held quarterly among members and their guests, generally suited to executives and recent graduates keen to expand their understanding and reach in the Australia-Japan relationship. Konshinkai range from themed events for Business, the Arts and Entertainment, Education and Mentoring, to informal gatherings and light-hearted infotainment sessions around Japanese cuisine and sake appreciation. Konshinkai has helped a lot of people make new contacts and reconnect with past friends, and feedback from these sessions helps pave the way for future AJSV initiatives.

APCC Bridge (Virtual) Summer Camp 2021

Let’s make friends around the world

Due to the restrictions currently in place around the world – APCC is going virtual this year so that children who would have been eligible to apply for APCC in Fukuoka this year have the opportunity to participate in a specially designed program sharing both with Japanese children as well as children from the Asia Pacific region and wider including Peru, Bordeaux and maybe even Kyrgyzstan. The program will be run over 7 sessions with 5 sessions being shared with children all over the world.

Australian Japan Society of Victoria is looking for four children (two boys and two girls) to be part of this program which will occur between August and November via zoom. We are looking for children who are inquisitive about the world, eager to share their thoughts and ideas with others and explore the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

To participate as a junior ambassador, participants must be born between August 1st, 2009 and July 31st 2010 and be available to participate in the whole program. Given that this program is mainly online, we encourage applications from rural children given the limited number of visits to Melbourne required. The proposed dates including interview dates are included in the information package.

The selection process to choose the four children will consist of an interview with two or three members of Bridge Club Australia/Australia Japan Society of Victoria as per the dates in the information package.

To participate in the program, all applications must be received via email.

Please read all the below details, complete the forms and send the applications to apcc.australia@gmail.com by Tuesday 18th May at 5 pm

    *APCC sheet

    *Junior Ambassador Application Form

Please contact the Australia–Japan Society APCC Liaison Officer – Heather Darbyshire via email apcc.australia@gmail.com if any additional information is required.
